Supportive Housing (SH) is one of Bellwoods Independent Living Programs (ILP). Supportive housing provides access to 24-hour on-site personal support services in accessible, rent-geared to income apartments.
Bellwoods has six supportive housing sites. It owns two dedicated supportive housing buildings (1082 Dundas and 300 Shaw), and holds arrangements with four other housing providers offering supportive housing in Cooperative apartments, Toronto Community Housing buildings and in partnership with private housing developers. Units have varying levels of subsidy.
Services such as personal grooming and hygiene, assistance with eating, toileting, and housekeeping are available. Services are pre-scheduled and available as needed 24-hours per day, 7-days per week. Clients can access Bellwoods’ Mobile Independent Living Education (MILE) Program for their program and educational needs, including helping clients to build independent living skills. The scheduling system attempts to accommodate the changing needs and lifestyles of clients and allows staff to maximize available time to assist clients.

- Mimico Site: Referral agreement with the Mimico Coop Housing at 1 Summerhill Lane in Etobicoke (Toronto) (13 units).
- Elm Site: Referral agreement with the City of Toronto at 25 Elm Street in Toronto (13 units)
- Walton Site: Referral agreement with Walton Place at 835 Birchmount Road Scarborough (Toronto) (12 units)
- Madison Site: Head Lease with Mahogany Management at 200 Madison Avenue Toronto (18 units)

Bellwoods Shaw Street
Bellwoods Shaw Street is located at 300 Shaw Street, Toronto, near the corner of Dundas Street West and Ossington Avenue. The 32 fully-accessible one-bedroom and bachelor apartments accommodate clients receiving Bellwoods’ 24/7 support services.
