Nursing Week 2026: Recognizing the Nurses Supporting Independent Living

Bellwoods is celebrating National Nursing Week and recognizing the nurses across our organization who help support safe, compassionate, and person-centred care every day.

This year’s National Nursing Week theme, “The Power of Nurses to Transform Health,” highlights the important role nurses play in shaping health care, supporting innovation, and advocating for quality care that puts people first.

At Bellwoods, nursing extends beyond traditional clinical settings. Nurses across our organization contribute in many different ways to help clients live independently and participate fully in their communities.

This Nursing Week, we are also shining a spotlight on the Bellwoods Clinical Resource Team (CRT) and the important role they play in supporting both clients and frontline staff across the organization.

The CRT team provides clinical leadership and guidance through:

  • Client assessments and service planning
  • Staff education and mentorship
  • Special function oversight and training
  • Quality and safety monitoring
  • Ongoing support for safe care delivery

Nurses at Bellwoods play an important role in helping clients navigate daily living, maintain their health and safety, and access the support they need to thrive in the community. Their knowledge, leadership, and compassion contribute to the high-quality care and collaborative culture that Bellwoods strives to provide.

To all the nurses across Bellwoods, thank you for the care, expertise, and dedication you bring to our organization and the clients we support every day.

Happy Nursing Week! 💙
